Mines and Geosciences Bureau- Regional Office No. 2 recently set up their plan in achieving certification for three standards, namely Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015), and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment (BS OSHAS 18001:2017).
On May 25, 2017, a gap assessment was conducted to determine areas of improvement in connection with the requirements of the three international standards. The organization has always taken into consideration how to effectively and efficiently serve the public hence the aim to acquire ISO certifications to consistently meet the need of the public and even exceed their expectations. With the certifications, the public is assured that the organization’s processes and procedures are aligned with international standards and that it is competent not just locally, but globally as well.
